For the world of Italian dubbing, this Valentine's Day is to be forgotten. During the day, the news arrived of the sad death of Antonio Fuochi, aka Tony Fuochi. We join in the greeting of Yamato Video, to one of the voice actors who have made recent history.
Today, February 14, 2022, Tony Fuochi has left us, voice actor and director of Italian dubbing who during his career has worked on animated projects such as The Knights of the Zodiac, Dragon Ball and Pokémon.
Spreading the news, among others, is Yamato Video, who on its official social media gave the last farewell to the Italian artist.
Born in 1955, he died in Padua after a long career of success and satisfaction. Fuochi has been active from the 1980s until 2014, when he hailed his job. Over the years, he has worked not only in the world of animation, but also in the world of video games and theater. The upcoming anime season at Yamato's theaters will be a tribute to his name.
The reasons for the death of the 67-year-old were not disclosed. The farewell of Fuochi, which with his voice has indelibly marked and inspired entire generations, must be greeted with a "diabolical fist", the iconic move of Ikki di Saint Seiya, a character who most of all accompanied him in the way of him. His voice will forever remain etched in the anime series he has worked on, some of which are featured on ANiME GENERATION, Yamato Video's Prime Video channel.
