The Actors Syndicate announced the death of the artist, who voiced many world-famous actors in Turkish.
In the post shared on social media, it was stated that the artist passed away and said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of our valuable master and member, Sungun Babacan, one of the legendary names of the voice-over profession. Condolences to all his fans and our voice-over community, especially his family.”
After the news of Babacan’s death, the fans and friends of the artist shared their sadness on social media with messages of condolence.
The life of Sungun Babacan
Sungun Babacan was born on October 5, 1958 in Ankara. After graduating from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, the artist started his career at TRT.
Babacan, who hosted the TV show “Saturdayden Saturdayye” on TRT in the mid-1980s, sang world-famous artists in many movies and TV series.
Among the actors that Babacan gave life to were Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Nicolas Cage, Sean Penn, Andy Garcia, Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, Mel Gibson.
Babacan
