Carlo Bonomi , one of the most popular Italian voice
actors, died in Milan, the city where he was born in 1937, the voice of many
advertisements such as Spot Ferrero (voice of the "Friendly Giant",
who repaired Joe Condor's misdeeds), Findus (Voice of Capitan Findus), Linus
(Voice of the hippopotamus Pippo), Raid (all the voices of mosquitoes), Girella
Motta (voice of the gluttonous), Coccolino (voiceover), Mago G Galbusera
(voiceover), Vecchia Romagna, Lagostina. In 1985 it became an integral part of
the "soundtrack" of his city by recording the announcements of the
Central Station, which will be followed by those for the Santa Maria Novella
Station of Florence, used until December 2008.
The bond with the legendary “Line” created by Osvaldo Cavandoli will remain eternal and indissoluble, but we should also remember his numerous collaborations with “Carosello“.
Capable
of an original and creative use of his "instrument", Bonomi has
always given a characterization of the characters to whom he lent his voice,
with the elaboration of languages of his own invention based on noises,
sounds and the imaginative use of onomatopoeias, regionalisms and assonances
with various languages.
