Goodbye to the gaucho Juan Moreira: actor Rodolfo Bebán passed away

The artist died at the age of 84 in a residence where he was in his last years. His extensive career includes unforgettable works in film, theater and television.

The nostalgic of the national artistic world are in mourning after learning of the death of the actor Rodolfo Bebán, who died this Saturday night at the age of 84, according to the Argentine Association of Actors. The artist has been in a nursing home for years.

“It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to the actor and director. His extensive artistic career includes unforgettable works in film, theater and television. Affiliated to our union since 1962. We accompany your children, relatives and loved ones in this difficult moment” , they wrote from the entity on their social networks to fire the remarkable artist.

Bebán's career began in the underground theater and then went on to great works such as "The strange couple" , where he swept with Palito Ortega, "Live a dream" , with Claudia Lapacó and "The butterflies are free" with Ana María Campoy , China Zorrilla and a model who was beginning her path to fame, Susana Giménez. He also stood out in "Lorenzaccio" , together with Alfredo Alcón. Other of his greatest performances was in "Diario de un loco" with the direction of his father Miguel Bebán. In addition, he starred in "El sable" where he was encouraged to get into the skin of Juan Manuel de Rosas.

Massive success came with the soap opera "Love has a woman's face" , along with Bárbara Mujica and Thelma Biral. Then they followed "Malevo and Four men for Eva" . His popularity catapulted him to the movies where he shone with “Juan Moreira” . The renowned film directed by Leonardo Favio from 1973.
