Nevis (Nik) Ezelle Hagler
1943-2021
Nik (Nevis Ezelle) Hagler, 77, of Pearland, TX, passed
away April 6, 2021 from lung cancer.
Born in Center, TX May 31, 1943, he graduated from Center High School,
continued his education with a BA and MA from Stephen F. Austin State
University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Florida.
Always an avid golfer, Nik's career as a professor in various universities
moved to becoming a professional actor: film (see IMBD), television and stage.
He served a short time as President of the Houston local of SAG/AFTRA, as 8th
VP Regional Branch and almost a decade on the SAG/AFTRA Foundation Dale
Scholarship Committee.
Nik is survived by his wife of 37 years, Susan Hagler, his daughter Kim
Lovelace (Chris), his grandchildren Kayla & Cooper Lovelace and Morgan
& Lindsey McGee, as well as other family and friends. He is preceded in
death by his parents, Nevis and Martha Francis Hagler, daughter Lisa McGee, and
brother Larry Hagler.
