The actor Vlad Rădescu announced, on Tuesday evening, on Facebook, the fact that the great actor Vladimir Gaitan died. He passed away at home.

"Vladimir Gaitan went beyond and left the Romanian theater and film, all of us, much more alone ... Condolences to the family that is going through such difficult moments. Goodbye, Duțu! ”, Wrote Vlad Rădescu.

The actor Vladimir Găitan, aged 73, was one of the elites of the Romanian theater. In 2002, he received the "National Order of Faithful Service, in the rank of Knight", for his devotion and artistic grace.

The actor has been tormented for years by an incurable disease.

Vladimir Gaitan was one of the most appreciated Romanian actors, and the public knows him especially from the film "The last night of love, the first night of war". For almost half a century he played on the stage of the great theaters in Romania, but also in films loved by the general public.

"I filmed a lot, with several production houses, and now recently with the teams ... we have some very good production houses that perform for foreigners," the actor told Digi24 in 2015.

Vladimir Gaitan was born in a small mountain town in Suceava.
