In a heartbreaking turn of events, the entertainment industry mourns the passing of beloved and multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose. The iconic star, celebrated for her exceptional talent and remarkable contributions to Philippine cinema and television, was confirmed to have died today.

Born on October 21, 1964, in Angeles City, Pampanga, Mary Jane Guck aka. Jaclyn Jose started her acting career doing movies and working with notable icons in the industry such as Lino Broca and Chito S. Roño, to name a few. She earned recognition from different award-giving bodies and won the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016 for her role in Brillante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa.

Jaclyn Jose's presence on the small screen was equally impactful. Her appearances in various television dramas and series resonated with audiences, showcasing her versatility as an actress. From captivating supporting roles to memorable guest appearances, Jaclyn's recent work in GMA shows such as Magpakailanman, Alyas Robin Hood (2016-2017), The Millionaire's Wife (2016), and Bolera (2022) showcased her ability to mesmerize audiences with her compelling performances.
