Danish actor Lars Lunøe has died, aged 87. His wife, Anette Høgsbro, confirmed this to Politiken.
During a five-decade-long-acting career, Lunøe had particularly distinguished himself in roles as a villain in several Danish films and series.
He got his breakthrough in 1967 in Leif Panduro's film "Ka' De Li' oyster?", and the following year he also played a villainous role as the horse whip in "The Red Horses" by Morten Koch, writes Politiken.
In addition, he is known for his role in "The Kingdom", where he played the Minister of Health, and other TV series such as "Nikolaj og Julie", "The Travel Team" and "Strisser på Samsø".
He had his last role in the 2015 comedy "Men and Hens".
Lars Lunøe is survived by his wife, actress Anette Høgsbro, whom he married in 1989.
