RIP Marion Brasch

 New York Times

January 23, 2022

BRASCH--Marion (Brash). Born in Berlin on March 27, 1931, died peacefully January 10, 2022. Marion was strength personified: strength of character, strength of spirit, strength of will. The moxie packed in her petite frame was remarkable, exceeded only by her beauty, love of animals and keen sense of humor. Marion and her parents escaped Nazi Germany, eventually settling in New York City. She studied acting under Lee Strasburg and Sanford Meisner, leading to a three-decade career spanning stage, cinema and television. In later years she used her sense of theatre, timing and storytelling as an in-demand, much-loved New York City tour guide, entertaining and delighting tourists until age 88. Marion is survived by a wide circle of friends and colleagues who will forever be inspired by her energy, passion and lifelong commitment to personal development. Marion lived in the moment and made every moment count. She will be missed greatly. A celebration of life will be forthcoming. Contributions in Marion's memory may be made to The Actors' Fund.
