Italian costume designer and actor Silvio Laurenzi died in Rome. Italy on November 5, 2021. He was 85. Born in Rome on May 20, 1926, Silvio began his career in cinema in the first half of the 1960s as an actor, an activity that around the first half of the following decade began to alternate with that of stage costume designer - which over time became his actual profession, especially in the vein ofcomedies
Nevertheless, he continued to appear in some small roles sporadically, almost always impersonating the role of the funny little man with a homosexual orientation: in this sense those two films directed by Steno, La potato boiling (1979) - in which he has several exchanges with the protagonist Renato Pozzetto - and Mi fa causa (1984) - in which, as a lawyer, he turns to the praetor ( Christian De Sica ) in the lawsuit in which he has to defend his client ( Franco Caracciolo ).
In 2009 he won the gold medal at the A life for cinema event.
