Actress and voice actor Carme Contreras has passed away early Monday morning at age 87, as reported by the Associació d’Actors i Directors Professionals de Catalunya (AADPC). Born in Zaragoza, the interpreter had dedicated more than seven decades to her professional career in the world of theater, cinema and television with notable roles in the TV3 television series El cor de la Ciutat, as well as her participation in other fictions. such as Hospital Central, El mundo de Chema, Estació d'enllaç or Majoria absoluta.

On the big screen, Contreras had collaborated with filmmakers such as Luis García Berlanga, with Plácido (1961), and Eloy de la Iglesia, with El pico (1983). Some of her last appearances were in the successful feature films El perfume and [REC] 3. The actress was also well-known for being part of the dubbing of hundreds of films, putting her voice in Catalan of ET, the extraterrestrial, or in Spanish of Yubaba (Chihiro's Journey) or Roz (Monstruos SA), among many other works.

Her last appearances were in 2012 in vaudeville Salvem les balenes ... and the meu matrimoni, what? and in the series My ex girlfriends.
