It was the National Association of Actors, which was in charge of confirming the death of Azucena Rodríguez.

With a message from the National Association of Actors of Mexico (ANDA), the death of Azucena Rodríguez was announced, on July 1, at the age of 84. However, further information about the cause of death of this voice actress is unknown.

"The National Association of Actors deeply regrets the death of our colleague Azucena Rodríguez, honorary member of our union," the association mentioned on its Instagram account. "Our condolences to her husband, comrade Jorge Fink, family and friends. Rest in peace."

Azucena Rafaela Dolores María Rodríguez Fernández, full name, was born on April 3, 1940, in Mexico City. She was the daughter of Spanish parents, Marcial Rodríguez and Gloria Fernández, who emigrated, along with her sister Alicia, to the Aztec country because of the Spanish Civil War.

Although she acted in some projects, her mezzo-soprano voice led her to develop a career as a voice actress. She debuted in 1937 when she voiced the character of Mrs. Candy, played by Mary Feld, in the film The Prince and the Pauper. From then on, she vocally played various actresses in series and films, such as Jane Fonda, Rachel Welch, Candice Berger and Dianne Wiest, among others.

One of the important productions of this artist was the horror film classic Rosemary's Baby, in 1968, in which she dubbed the protagonist Mia Farrow; his work earned him that, the following year, he gave her a voice again in Spanish in the film John and Mary. She also appeared in the film The Godfather as Connie Corleone, who played Talia Shire.

In addition, the celebrity became Agent 99 in Spanish, played by Barbara Feldon, in the series Super Agent 86 and was Claire Meade in Ugly Betty, played by Judith Light.

She married actor Jorge Fink, with whom she had her only daughter Azucena Rebollo Rodríguez.

At the moment, further details about Azucena Rodríguez are unknown, who to her credit has to her credit more than 220 works in film, television and specials that include cartoons. Rest in peace.
