Mary Dodson Wade passed away Monday, February 27th, 2023 in Houston, TX.
Mary Dodson Wade is the author of a multitude of
historical and biographical books for students of many ages, from kindergarten
through high school. Her books have often been praised by critics as solid,
well-researched, student-friendly introductions to their subjects, which range
from the people and culture of Wade's home state of Texas to scientific topics
such as tsunamis.
She spent 25 years as an elementary librarian and has published more than 50 books for this age group
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at 10:00 am in The Forum 777 N. Post Oak Rd. Houston, TX 77024.
