RIP Roger Cudney

Roger Cudney, actor of "James Bond" and "No refunds", dies at 85 in a car accident.

 

The American actor, who had been living in Mexico for more than 50 years, suffered a tragic car accident next to his wife in Mexico City on July 5.

MEXICO CITY. - It was recently confirmed that the American actor, singer, dubbing director, radio and television host, Roger Cudney, lost his life on July 5 in a spectacular accident, as confirmed by the National Association of Interpreters (ANDI).

According to the media, the actor was disconnected in a hospital in Mexico City after suffering two cardiac arrests, however, so far these versions have not been confirmed by relatives. Although the renowned interpreter who lived in Mexico, aged 85, died on July 5, it was not until this Friday, July 9, that the news was revealed by ANDI through its official Twitter account.

On the actor's life

Roger Cudney was born in Ohio, United States, where he was in charge of interpreting multiple roles for the big screen, but it was since 1967 when he decided to stay in Mexico, achieving a successful career in television, although he also stood out for participating in film productions.

The actor is remembered for his roles in Televisa soap operas such as "La Rosa de Guadalupe",

“El corazón nunca se equivoca”, and in productions such as “La dictadura perfecta”, “La última Mentada de padre”, “No se aceptan devoluciones”, among others.

Cudney was also part of the cast of famous Hollywood films, as he co-starred with Charles Bronson in "The Evil that Men Do", "Rambo II", "License to Kill", "The Avenger of the Future", "Original Sin", to only mention a few.

The actor suffered the serious accident when his wife, Eloisa, was driving the car in which they both traveled through Lomas de Chapultepec, after realizing that the vehicle had run out of brakes on a descent, the woman decided to impact the car against a tree to avoid damage to third parties. Cudney's wife spent several days in intensive care and the media requested donors from Sandre, the actor had fractures of the ribs, sternum and sacrum, which kept him immobilized until the moment of his unfortunate death. Roger Cudney was cremated on July 6 in the French Pantheon.
