Kartal Tibet, the master of Yeşilçam cinema, the famous actor, director and screenwriter, passed away. Actress Civan Canova announced the death of the actor, who died at the age of 82. Sharing her Instagram account, Canova said, "Goodbye, my brother Kartal, I will miss you very much."

Theater actor Orhan Aydın also said about Tibet's death, “The light is out. A life full of applause from stage to set. Let your soil smell of flowers” ​​shared the message.

WHO IS KARTAL TIBET?

Born in 1938, Kartal Tibet graduated from Ankara State Conservatory Theater Department. He worked as a theater actor in Ankara for many years. He played the leading role in Karaoğlan: Yigit from Altay, which was adapted to the cinema by the comic character Karaoğlan, created by Suat Yalaz in 1960. The appearance of Cüneyt Arkın, one of the youngsters of the period, as the comic book characters Malkoçoğlu and Kara Murat, increased the popularity of such adventure films. Karaoğlan's adventures, which started in Central Asia, were featured in the films Karaoğlan: Baybora'nin Son and Karaoğlan: Camoka's Revenge, 1967, Karaoğlan: Byzantine Zorba and Karaoğlan: The Green Dragon, and 1972 Karaoğlan is Coming, starring Kartal Tibet. continued. Tibet later portrayed Tarkan, created by Sezgin Burak, in the 1969 movie Tarkan. This movie was followed by Tarkan: Gümüş Saddle in 1970, Tarkan: Viking Blood in 1971, Tarkan: Gold Medallion in 1972 and Tarkan: Strong Hero in 1973. He quit acting and started directing in 1976 with the movie Tosun Paşa.

His important films include Undead Love, Mountains Girl Reyhan, Senede Bir Gün, Sultan, Zübük, Top Scorer and Shalvar Case.

He directed the first 13 episodes of Süper Baba (series) broadcast between 1993 and 1997, and the television series Zoraki Koca broadcast on Kanal D in 2007. In 2008, he undertook the directorship of the TV series "Life is Beautiful", which was broadcast on Show TV.

He is married and has two children.
