“Kattobi Broadcasting Station” Star Frank Bonner dies at
the age of 79

Frank Bonner Famous
for playing Herb Tarlek on the TV sitcom “WKR Pin Cincinnati” has died … TMZ
learned.
Frank
died Wednesday as a result of complications of Lewy body dementias … according
to his family. His loved ones are said to be in grief, and they were with him when
he died in peace.
Actor
and director Frank was best known for his work on “WKRP” in the late 1970s and
early 80s … Herb, a radio station sales manager who couldn’t get a big account.
Frank’s
character was also known to wear white shoes and a matching belt at the show,
in addition to a loud plaid suit.
He
directed several episodes about the OG “WKRP” and replayed his role as an herb
in the 1990s spin-off “Cincinnati’s New WKRP” … and in “Bell Saved: A New
Class”. I played and directed it.
Frank
became a hot topic when he was hospitalized in a parachute accident in October
1979. He was injured after falling about 20 feet when his ascendancy shoot fell
in an unusual wind while being towed by a four-wheel drive vehicle on a bed in
a dry lake near Los Angeles.
