Bolognese actor and singer, Gianni Dei passed away on October 19 in Rome at the age of 79. He has had a very varied artistic career, ranging from cinema to music, and has been a reference face for numerous character roles in many Italian films of the so-called B Movie category.

Among the first to announce his death was the host Mara Venier, a dear friend of Dei, who greeted him with a photo posted on Instagram in which he describes him as a very close person with whom he had a deep friendship.

Gianni Dei's acting career begins after his high school diploma, when he decided to move from Bologna to Roma and starts his business with a small role in Mario Camerini's Via Margutta. This will be followed by dozens of character films, 43 in all, of the comic genre, Italian comedy, Italian erotic comedy, musicians, thrillers, cops.
