The producer Gianni
Minervini, who was born in 1928 and the son of the
journalist Roberto and brother of the sculptor Annamaria has died. In 1976
he founded AMA Film in partnership with Antonio and Pupi Avati. Oscar for
best foreign film with “Mediterraneo” in
1991 also produced the first film by Roberto Benigni, “Berlinguer I Love You” and
the first films by Gabriele Salvatores. As an actor he had played the
Florentine boy who makes a sonorous rattle to Alberto Sordi in the film “Souvenir d'Italie”.
