Elda Peralta died at the age of 91, according to what the National Association of Actors (ANDA) reported today May 15.

The native of Hermosillo, Sonora, studied English, French, Greek and Spanish Literature at the University of London and the University of Paris.

Although she had a leading career as an actress, Elda Peralta abandoned the occupation because a cinematographer tried to abuse her, according to what she revealed to El Universal.

I wanted to go through the caudyal gallows. I refused because I had enough rebellion not to let me crawl, at the time Elda Peralta never wanted to reveal the name of the filmmaker, it is only known that the experience left her trauma and retired from acting to become a professor at the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature between 1971 and 1972.
