Fabrizio Gianni (1938,2026, 87). Countless were the times a photograph by Fabrizio Gianni made me dream as a child and teenager. Feeling that rush of adrenaline and fascination upon discovering an advertising campaign or an editorial shot by one of my favorite photographers.
And aspiring to one day possess even a fraction of the class, elegance, and masculinity of his models. And fetishizing all those beautiful clothes that were always far out of reach for my budget.
It doesn’t matter, in the end, you realize that it’s all a fantasy, and as such, the photographs will always be there to admire and to keep dreaming of other eras, other lives.
Fabrizio Gianni passed away yesterday, Sunday morning. In his own words, he left peacefully and satisfied with having lived a great life, grateful to God for having a beautiful family.
Thank you, Fabrizio. Rest in peace. 🙏
