WWHA regrets to
announce the death of another of our charter members: Frederick William
"Fred" Nolan (born March 7, 1931 in Liverpool) passed away at his
home in Chalfont St. Giles, United Kingdom on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the
age of 91.
The WWHA Journal will
publish a tribute to Nolan in the September 2022 issue. Any WWHA member is
invited to submit their memories of Fred, or a tribute to him, and any pictures
of him, alone or in a group, by sending it to Journal editor
Roy B. Young, royyoung@pldi.net. Deadline for submissions is July
1st. NOTE: we cannot publish every picture but will use as many as space
allows.
Additionally, a
tribute to historian/author Robert M. Utley will be part of the September
issue. Bob was never a member of WWHA, but we want to honor his accomplishments
in the field of Western American history. Tributes to Bob will also be welcome
and must be submitted by July 1st.
The WWHA Roundup
registrations have reached 125 and growing daily. We hope to see you in Rapid
